Everyone scattered off to their respective places today – the school project, the hospital, & the pharmacy.  Miriam is back today as our haus mary.  It’s been nice with all these people living here to have someone come in to clean, do laundry, and help with food prep if we need.  I needed some more vegies and fruit so Miriam headed off to the local market to purchase them if she could find them.   That is one thing we can’t do as we are not allowed to leave station due to safety reasons.  We, the women, also cannot go out of the houses early morning or after dark without a male escort for safety reasons so having a haus mary who can go about freely helps us.  She purchased some pineapples and a papaya.  Yummy…so fresh and sweet tasting.  The Crouch family arrived back at the station from Ukarumpa just before lunch.  They had a wonderful time despite a bumpy plane ride in a 10 seater plane.  But, they were happy to return back “home”.   Homemade pizzas for lunch were eaten with gusto.  Hadyn had a great morning in surgery today and after lunch both she and Sadie hurried off to see if they could see more surgeries.   Sam Joined Steph going to the pharmacy to count pills.  Jeff joined missionary Justin in the IT department.  In the afternoon after everyone was cleaned up we did our team picture and then the activity for the day was a walk to the dam and tubing for those who wanted.   Supper tonight was enchiladas.  We had to clean up quickly as the weekly missionary prayer meeting was to be held here at the Barnabas House.   Not all the missionaries attend especially if they have small children at home but there were 14 who showed up.  They carry a nice box filled with Nazarene hymnals.  Several hymns were sung, prayer requests taken and then prayed for.  The nurse who has been Dr. Jim’s scrub nurse for over 30 years (a national) who everyone calls Auntie Margaret was with us.  She is also the NMI president for PNG.  We gathered around her and prayed for her.  Then the meeting was over.  Everyone stayed for a few minutes just visiting before leaving.  Bradley started a fire in the fire pit and several spend some time outside laughing and watching the flames and enjoying the evening.
