The missing luggage is now at the airport in Dhaka, but the couple it belongs to were unable to get it. Seems the person helping them on Thursday has their original baggage claim tickets and he was not available on Friday morning before we left town. One of the ministry team will get their bags and send them to us.
We left Dhaka and headed north to Birgonj. Lots of traffic on the roads today, especially since today is the start of a three-day weekend here. We stopped at the Hotel Naz Garden in Bogra for lunch. This is the hotel we stayed in last March when we were here. We arrived in Birgonj just before 7 pm, and went to a Baptist compound where we will be staying for the next few nights. The compound is owned by a Baptist group from the Netherlands, but is used by various groups.
After getting our room assignments and taking our luggage to our rooms we loaded back into the vehicles to go to dinner at a Nazarene guest house about 15 minutes away. The van most of us were riding in slid off the sandy road and got stuck in the soft shoulder. After much trial and error, and after calling for help from the Naz. guest house, the van was finally back on the road. Then off to the dinner that was waiting for us.
By the time we got back to the compound it was time for a quick cold shower and off to bed.
