Our last day in Costa Rica. Our plan was scheduled to depart at 6:30 a.m. so we had to leave La Finca by 4 a.m.! After a very short night’s sleep we were up really early. We said goodbye to Stephen and Anne and boarded the bus to go to the airport. Even at 4:45 a.m. the airport was crowded with people. The last of our team made it through all the security checks just in time to board the plane headed to Houston. It was a fairly short flight…or so it seemed, as most of us slept the entire flight.
Making our way through immigration, customs and all the security checks in Houston took nearly 90 minutes. We said our goodbyes and all headed off to different gates to make our way on to our respective home towns. We made it into Amarillo about 7 p.m. It was a wonderful trip!
