Arrived in Jerusalem Monday evening, 7 pm local time. There is an 8 hour time difference. After checking in to the hotel, we had a nice buffet dinner. Then after a short briefing of tomorrow's activities, several of us took a late night stroll to the Old City where a celebration was going on. Currently happening is Jerusalem Days, the sixtyth anniversary
of Israel's independence, so lots of extra activities and celebrations going on. We entered the Old City of Jersualem via the Damascus Gate and walked along narrow, stone streets until we reached the Western Wall Plaza where the celebration was.
Jerusalem is definitely 'a city on a hill', you climb up out of the Plain of Sharon, where Tel Aviv is located, into a hilly, mountainous area, through a pass and see the city of Jersualem on top of the mountain.Well, it is late and we have a long day tomorrow, so I should get to bed.

Did you get your luggage yet? I'm glad you made it safely.
Vito is in tears as he looks at the picture of the Damascus gate. He says, once again, that he's never talking to you again! :-)
Love you! Have fun!
